I can see that secrets will make you sick.
In yesterday’s podcast with #bexweller from www.sexysobriety.com, Bex commented that ‘secrets keep us sick’.
When Bex was days away from her own story being published, she felt momentarily terrified, and then quickly turned to feeling amazing.
Once Bex put her story out there, she felt free and liberated of the things she had been trying so desperately to hide, or keep secret, for so long.
I still had Bex’ comment that ‘secrets keep you sick’ on my mind after publishing the episode.
As we had lightly touched on #louisehay’s book “Heal Your Body” in our chat, I looked up Louise’s A-Z guide to probable mental patterns behind the dis-ease in the body at the back of the book.
Nan went to great lengths to keep her big secret that she’d adopted my mum from a work friend back in the ’40s.
Nan was loving, but she did do the best ‘cats-bum’ impression with her lips… holding her secret tight, forever!
I looked up 3 of nan’s many ailments in Louise Hay’s A-Z list, and what the probable mental causes to those dis-eases were:
PROBLEM 1: Addiction (for nan, Valium was the poison of choice) CAUSE: Running from the self. Fear. Not knowing how to love the self.
PROBLEM 2: Arthritic fingers CAUSE: A desire to punish. Blame. Feeling victimised (well, nan was also a strict old-school Catholic, so those words do all fit)
PROBLEM 3 : Knee problems CAUSE: Stubborn ego and pride. Inability to bend. Fear. Inflexibility. Won’t give in.
So, yes I can see that secrets will make you sick. Taking back your power will happen when you decide that putting all your energy into keeping your secrets is no longer tolerable.
As a professionally-trained and life-experienced coach, it’s my role to hold a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients.
If you are sick and tired of putting all your energy into keeping your secrets, DM me or click to book a session.
I’ll hear you out, don’t you worry.
Take care,
